The Position
As Product Marketing Director/Sr. Director for Renesas’s Performance Digital Power product line, you will lead the marketing team for one of Renesas’s fastest-growing product lines serving data center, AI, networking, and other performance computing applications. You will lead a global team and driving business growth in multiple market segments, and be the business champion for this product line.
You will develop and lead a team that creates the business and product portfolio strategy, defines product and portfolio roadmaps, go-to-market plans, pricing strategies and leads customer engagements. Your team will be responsible for both product management and product, and will work closely with sales leadership to enable a global team of direct and indirect sales and application engineers to win design-ins that lead to diversified revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
The ability to collaborate with peers and independently multitask, prioritize, make high-level decisions, meet aggressive deadlines, and communicate results, trade-offs, and decisions to all stakeholders is necessary to be effective in this role.
- Manage P&L for product line, growing top line within financial targets for bottom line.
- Develop strategy and investment themes for product line, including product and core technology developments required to growth the future business.
- Identify market opportunities and drive plans to exploit these markets. Assess competition and customer product development plan to help differentiated product roadmap.
- Lead the global team, within a matrix org, of marketing and applications engineers that own product requirements, product definition, and technical collateral.
- Set priority, direction, and investment for global product development team, ensuring timely new product introduction and successful product launch.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to create an enablement strategy that equips a broad, global sales organization to effectively compete and win design-ins, and support design activities. Define and develop product collateral, competitive analysis, product roll out, and field training.
- Collaborate with Tactical Marketing support team to drive product forecasting for effective management of the business.
- Contribute to corporate strategic technology development efforts to develop silicon or packaging technologies that enable business growth within the application space.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a leader who has prior experience leading global business and product teams for power management IC’s in the high performance computing space, with an understanding of power management applications, semiconductor product development, infrastructure market segments, and enablement of global sales teams.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills, and ability to collaborate and be effective in fast-paced environment. A combination of technical and business management degrees with 10 years of relevant semiconductor and networking experience is highly desirable.
Typical requirements are a minimum of 15 years of relevant semiconductor marketing experience (4 years of which should include managing and growing a $100M revenue business) and a BS degree in engineering (EE or CS disciplines), with MS/MBA degree preferred. An innovative energetic leader and individual with a decisive style and attentiveness to current and future customer and market trends. Track record of successfully launching, managing and growing products.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields and 15+ years of related professional experience. Master’s degree in Engineering, or BSEE with MBA with 13+ years of experience.
