We are looking for a Product Marketing Specialist - Energy to join our Marketing team. Working Monday to Friday, you will be based in Stoke-on-Trent/Stone. \nRole Purpose
\nThe purpose of this role is to support the Energy Sector by providing high quality product management services. This includes developing a deep understanding of the relevant markets, identifying commercial opportunities from unmet or poorly met needs, developing the Lucideon Product Portfolio to match the market needs, and performing field-based commercial activities to test the viability and desirability of the Product Portfolio in preparation for adoption by the Sales Team.
\nThe goal will be to get the customers to want what services Lucideon has currently, and/or to have Lucideon invest in and onboard the services the clients need.
\nThe incumbent will liaise extensively with other team members across the business, and therefore a collaborative, team player approach is essential. This must be combined with strong materials-based technical skills (ideally with a background in the energy market), product management skills or suitable knowledge and emergent commercial skills. A desire to work in a results-oriented environment and a willingness to be in the field to gain “in hand” insight from the market, as well as developing commercial potential, is essential. Written communications on client and market meetings must be prepared to facilitate insight for other colleagues.
\nAccountabilities

- To take ownership and accountability for Product Management for the Energy sector \n
- Develop strong understanding of relevant market segments for Energy. This must involve significant client interactions and field-based activities with clients to supplement any desk research \n
- Develop strong understanding of Lucideon’s product offering and match existing or develop new offerings (Product Portfolio) to suit high value market requirements \n
- Develop business plans, including investment plans, for allocated areas as required \n
- Engage in field-based commercial activities, leveraging developed contacts so that the Product Portfolio can evaluated and amended as needed against real customer demand \n
- Be responsible for coordinating development of marketing collateral and marketing activities for the Product Portfolio to support commercial plans and the Sales Team \n
- To support the coaching and development of the Sales Team, so that the Product Portfolio and market requirements are fully understood and embedded. This will involve accompanying sales visits and critiquing team performance and understanding \n
- To be highly visible in the marketplace, including face to face client meetings, relevant conferences/seminars/webinars and also speaking as subject matter expert on Lucideon’s offerings \n
- To comply with the Company’s performance standards for items such as CRM reporting, PMF quotation production and approval, monthly reporting and delegated authority \n
- Such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Company \n
Experience
\n- \n
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in material science, chemistry, chemical engineering or a related technical discipline \n
- Experience with client interaction and exposure to product management would be desirable \n

The role will field based, in the Stoke-on-Trent/Stone area and will involve significant levels of travel for market and client interaction as well as engagement with Lucideon's facilities in the US and UK
