The department sits within our Corporate & Institutional Banking franchise, where we maintain active relationships with two-thirds of the FTSE 350, supporting clients with annual turnover in excess of £100m. In this role you we’re in search of an experienced Product Manager to lead a multidisciplinary development team. You'll have a keen eye for gaps in B2B SAAS product offerings and an innovative approach for filling them. This person will be a highly skilled market analyst with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release. We’re looking for a confident leader who can guide cross-functional teams in the creation of products that improve customer experience and grow market share.
You'll work with the wider Data Products strategy and commercialisation teams to develop requirements for data products and services, considering the best ways to take these to market and provide value to clients in alignment to the Bank’s purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.
You'll bring experience of business strategy definition and will already have strong domain experience and interest in the data and insights marketplace. The role will also give you opportunities to collaborate with product delivery and platform teams to design and build data propositions that meet the needs of our clients.
Role Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams by industry verticals e.g., Retail, Financial Institutions etc.
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and return on investment.
- Analyse markets to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications of the verticals described above.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organisation.
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Lloyds across primary market segments.
- Maintain relationships with key internal customers and act as their business partner.
- Support colleagues with innovative ideas, champion innovation as a process and advocate a growth mindset.

What You’ll Need
- Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
- Proven success in leading all aspects of the product development lifecycle.
- High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation abilities.
- Inventive, creative, inspiring.
- A passion for innovation and change, and an understanding of modern data and analytics technology trends and how these enable a data business, including cloud, data sharing, data and insights marketplace, digitisation, and APIs.
- Adept at building strong and impactful relationships with internal and external partners.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent academic credentials.
And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful
- Practical data experience (insights, analytics, data processing etc).
- Ideal Industry background with several years in B2C industries such as Retail, Location Planning or Strategy Consulting.
- Or working in B2B data services organisations providing data products to Financial Services e.g., trading desk.
- Previous Technical Product Manager/Owner experience.
