Product Manager - IP VPN
The role holder will
- Develop, manage and delivers an IP Connect product that creates value for business markets and drives unit performance across all Business channels through delivery of portfolios developments, enhancments and intervention initiatives
- P&L responsibility for product portfolio targets working closely with channel teams
- Manages strategic supplier relationships to ensure investment and support in future portfolio development
- Provides subject matter expertise to support the execution of the product strategy within a CFU
- Acting as Team Leader for the IP Connect UK portfolio with line manager responsibility
- Working closely with the Global Fabric team to ensure aligned positioning an capability between Global fabroic and UK IP VPN
- Leadership of IP Connect product. Set out the portfolio vision, strategy and investment roadmap across lifecycle
- Interlock growth ambitions and product lifecycle goals with channels, partners and key functions
- Manage the full portfolio lifecycle from product development, to in life and end-of-life initiatives
- Establish and maintain performance standards for all key aspects of the portfolio - ensure end to end definition and understanding of the product operating model, systems and process and ensure the model achieves NPS, digital self service, commercial and unit economics goals.
- Support into value channels for key bids (sales and specialists)
- Support transition of portfolio to strategic systems and processes
- Team management responsibility and wider matrix management interfaces
- Identifies new products or enhancements to existing products by understanding and analysing user needs, BT Group's current product suite and business requirements of internal functions like sales and delivery.
- Collaborates with analytics and engineering teams, and interfaces with cross functional stakeholders e.g. executives, sales, product, marketing, legal, and customer success teams to fulfil the product backlog using Scrum/ Agile methodologies.
- Contributes towards the continual assessment of the needs of customers, tech teams and stakeholders in defining and evolving the product strategy.
- Ensures accurate and formal product documentation such as feature sheets and user guides.
- Ensures constant analysis of customer behaviour, developing metrics and cultivating novel techniques to help our customers.
- Contributes towards comprehensive product requirements to instrument new tracking events, build data tools, pipelines, analytic dashboards and visualisations.
- Mentors other product management professionals, helping to improve the team’s abilities by acting as a technical resource.
