Job description
We're now looking for a Product Development Manager to join our AJ Bell D2C team in supporting the development and delivery of new functionality / features to the website and apps. Working in the product team they will help create and champion the product vision, strategy and roadmap ensuring it aligns with the company vision, strategy and business goals.
What does the job involve?
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Drive innovative product development for the AJ Bell D2C website and apps in response to customer feedback, competitor initiatives and ideas to differentiate AJ Bell from other retail investment providers
- Translate the business requirements and define the product requirements for each change project. Working with the technical teams to agree the designs, support the development and be involved in UAT testing, release phases and post implementation evaluation
- Ensure new products and significant changes to the existing web and app are tested with customers through running customer beta testing and that their feedback is taken into account to improve the product before full launch
- Manage the sprint planning process with the digital strategy and mobile development teams balancing the businesses key priorities and short-term incremental improvements
- Own the product backlog, writing detailed user stories and requirements
- Create new content, in conjunction with the marketing team, on the web and app to support new product launches including landing pages and FAQs
- Work with the teams impacted by change, including customer facing and marketing teams to ensure that change is bedded in and that these teams are adequately supported to improve the experience for customers
- Provide training documents for customer facing teams ahead of new product launches and support the product manager with training
- Be a product expert and help the marketing team to develop content that adequately reflects the product
- Ensure changes are compliant and that there has been input from the Compliance and Technical teams
- Manage junior staff member(s), delegating work and ensuring it is done to a satisfactory standard
- Perform other tasks as agreed with the Senior Product development manager

- Financial services experience

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the FCA regulatory framework
