Overview

The European Commercial Solutions Team is responsible for growing Mastercard revenue, share and volume across the Commercial segment (B2B, and T&E). To do this, the team takes an end-to-end approach by formulating market strategy, developing relevant products and solutions, packaging these products, articulating the value proposition to Issuers and their customers, and optimising the go-to-market process.

The Manager, Product Management, Commercial Solutions will support the European region by accelerating deployment of new T&E payment solutions – focusing on the enablement of virtual and mobile solutions and by managing these products proactively, based on customer needs and business opportunities.

Reporting to the Director of European virtual T&E Product candidate will work closely with the global product teams as well as the local markets throughout Europe to accelerate deployment and commercialization of those products in Europe. The position will be responsible to drive the strategic selling and sales support, ongoing management and enhancements of products, engagement with internal and external stakeholders to achieve annual revenue targets and support the growth of Mastercard in the virtual and mobile T&E payment space.

Role

Drive virtual solutions for T&E spend for the region: Support the markets with adequate analysis/ case studies as required to demonstrate the value of these products

Be the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Mastercard’s mobile payment product: Enable and implement strategies for product’ rollout and adoption. Research and deeply understand the European market, including but not limited to regulations, main players, competition, use cases and growth opportunity

In partnership with the sales teams, support the strategic selling process with key customers: from identifying the opportunities to obtaining customer commitments through implementation and go-to-market

Drive go-to-market strategy for mobile virtual cards, focused on strategic scale, delivery, and customer experience.

Manage issuer pipeline/readiness including market announcements and mandates

Work with issuers, travel intermediaries and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements

Support already on-boarded customers and provide continuous support to help them grow their mobile virtual cards volumes with Mastercard´s solutions.

Work closely with customers, sales teams, and implementation teams to lead projects end-to-end with customers implementing Mastercard T&E solutions

Demonstrate product/technology management expertise and strong project management skills.

Monitor and evaluate product performance; ability to locate and use relevant data to support performance measurement, tracking, and product insights.

Identify new and innovative use cases for Mastercard T&E products and potential new distribution and technology partners.

Work in partnership with the Global Commercial Solutions team to leverage best practices and bring new capabilities to market in Europe.

All About You

Relevant experience in digital / virtual payments, ideally including experience working with Digital Wallets

This position requires a highly collaborative and self-driven individual who will need to manage relationships across multiple functional areas.

Cross-functional team experience managing multiple, complex projects concurrently and delivering timely results under tight timelines.

Experience of consultative sales, relationship management, product management and / or project management within the T&E financial services or payments industry.

Knowledge and experience of working with commercial issuers or payment service providers.

Understanding of broader T&E payment and transaction ecosystem. Understanding of competitive landscape and industry trends a plus.

Knowledge and skills using product management tools, (e.g. market and product plans, project timelines, marketing research, pricing, business case development)

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility internally and externally; team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible

Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior management and business partners both internally and externally including roles within customer organizations, at all levels.

Ability to embrace complexity but deliver and articulate simplicity.

Experience using relevant Microsoft Office programs and ability to create deliverables on a timely basis (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

Education: BA in Business, Finance, Engineering or similar.

Full fluency in English required, other European languages will be valued.
