Product Designer UX/UI
Salary circa £65,000 pro rota
We are currently recruiting for two Product Designers (UX/UI) to be a part of our User Centred Design team (UCD) for a 6-month fixed term contract, with opportunity to extend to 12months.
The User Centred Design team defines how our customers, partners and employees interact with our products and services. As a Product Designer you will ensure that our products and features are not only easy to use and address customer needs, but also align to business strategy and objectives.
It’s a phenomenal time to join us as we are busy redesigning and re-platforming a big part of our online experience! This is one of the biggest projects in digital, so its vital for Aviva and our customers. This role could be suitable for you if you have recent/relevant experience of working on App design systems and across native App (Android/IOS).
A bit about the job:
As the one of the Product Designers, you’ll primarily be taking the lead on UI work in our Apps team, helping to build and manage our design system and constantly looking to improve our workflow. In addition to this, you will be working with others to define and deliver excellent digital journeys for our customers by following best practice UCD methodologies.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders to manage demands and expectations across the business presenting your work and building relationships while representing the UCD team and championing the customer. Along with using data insights from primary and secondary sources to get closer to the customer and to inform your design decisions and shape product strategy.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in UI/Visual design and experience working with Front-end design systems, delivering pixel perfect designs and following Aviva’s brand guidelines
- Proven experience working across native App (iOS/Android) is essential. Desirable to have experience working across web and responsive web
- Some experience of UX design methods is desirable, delivering outputs such as Wireframes, User Flows, Experience Maps, Information Architecture, Low-fi prototypes and experience supporting UX Research
- Knowledge of designing and building in React Native is desirable, along with strong agile knowledge and effective ways of working with engineering teams
- Experience using: Figma (our primary design tool), Photoshop, Axure, Illustrator, Optimal Workshop, Adobe Analytics

- Salary circa £65,000 pro rata (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
