Job description
We are Multiverse, a tech scaleup with a social mission. We’re creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training, through the power of professional apprenticeships.
We’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe and rapidly expanding in North America, working with over 500 clients including Facebook, KPMG, Morgan Stanley and the NHS. In June 2022, we broke the EdTech funding record (again!) by announcing our $220m Series D, making Multiverse the UK’s first ever EdTech unicorn.
Join us on our journey to democratising access to the best careers and learning opportunities.
The Opportunity:
We need an exceptional Product Designer to contribute to the future direction of our Multiverse product to ensure we are continually challenging who gets access to the best careers. You’ll be working with peers in Engineering, Product, and User Research to build new products and features for our apprentices and the client companies who host them.
No two days at Multiverse are the same, so we need someone who is comfortable with the unknown unknowns. On top of that, we’re looking for an all rounder who starts with the problem, takes time to understand their users, and who gets into the details designing solutions that work well and spark joy for internal and external users of our product.
If you are inquisitive about the ‘why’ we do things, you live to prove and disprove hypotheses and you’re keen to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment, we’d love for you to join us during this exciting growth phase.
Specifically, you will:
design products and features that are world-class
develop a deep understanding of the needs of our users
create click-dummy prototypes to evaluate ideas
conduct and be involved in concept and usability testing with user researchers
communicate and collaborate with product managers and engineers
contribute to a growing Design System and design process
stay aware of competitor product and industry trends
About You:
have an understanding of UX principles and methodologies
have proven experience as a Product Designer, UX designer or similar with a strong portfolio of design projects
are familiar with interaction design and information architecture
are able to prioritise your time efficiently
work effectively in a collaborative environment and are comfortable with the nature of change within a growing organisation
are proficient in design software (we’re using Figma)
are able to move between focussing on design and research with support
