A small and very busy Design Consultancy are looking to recruit a Product Designer to join their fast-paced team in Central London. On top of a basic salary of up to £40,000, the company are offering 20 days holiday plus Christmas and bank holidays, flexitime, bonus and pension.

As Product Designer will you be responsible for:

• Development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies.
• End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept sketch through to manufacture.
• Rapid prototyping and testing.
• Work with engineers and external manufacturing partners.
• Free-hand sketching and 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks.

The successful Product Designer will have:

• Proven experience as a Product Designer or Industrial Designer.
• Degree qualified in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering from a university such as Brunel, Bournemouth or Loughborough.
• Experience in designing consumer electronics or transport interiors (galleys and seating for aircraft, rail or buses).
• Excellent freehand sketching ability.
• High level of proficiency using Solidworks 3D CAD.
