Design Company based in Leicester are seeking to recruit a Product Designer to work on a global brand within their growing team. Recent graduates will be considered as full training will be given. The role benefits from a starting salary of up to £28,000, pension, flexible hybrid working and excellent career progression opportunities. As a Product Designer you will be responsible for:
- Understanding customer needs and translating them into innovative retail display solutions.
- Taking clients supplied design intent and updating existing merchandising layouts.
- Creating full design specifications and drawings for production briefing and manufacture.
- Working directly with the client and retailers to better understand the brand and consumer intention.
- Considering design for sustainability, design for value-add and design for manufacture (DFM).
To be considered for the role of Product Designer, you will require:
- Degree in Product Design or similar.
- Knowledge / experience of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in 3D Solidworks.
- 2D AutoCAD / Draftsight experience.
- Client facing skills.
- Capable of preparing Planogram 2D layouts, drawings, illustrations, renderings, presentations or rough sketches.
- Understanding of plastic injection moulding.
