As a Product Designer at ProblemShared, you will be working amongst a growing design team, helping to evolve our online mind health service. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, transforming business and product needs into designs that both internal and external clients can use intuitively. • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Translate business goals and user needs into design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality and feasibility.

User-centred Design

  • Develop and iterate on prototypes that showcase the user journey and gather feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Conduct usability testing and user research to identify pain points and areas for improvement in the design.

User Interface (UI) Design:

  • Develop visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that align with the brand’s visual identity and style guidelines.
  • Design pixel-perfect UI elements, including buttons, icons, typography, and colour schemes that meet accessibility guidelines and focus on the neurodivergent user.
  • Create interactive prototypes and animations to demonstrate product functionality and interactions.

Collaboration and communication:

  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs, providing necessary assets and specifications.
  • Effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and user feedback to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with brand, marketing and sales teams to create visual assets for promotional material, presentations and user documentation.

Continuous improvement:

  • Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to incorporate into design processes, especially around neuroinclusive design and accessibility standards.
  • Participate in design critiques and contribute to a culture of feedback and learning within the design team.
  • Maintenance and improvement of the design system.

Who we are looking for:

  • Strategically creative outlook aligning product goals, business objectives and company values.
  • Strong organisational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills working alongside a diverse range of teams.
  • Action orientated team player with a positive and flexible approach to product goals.
  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices, accessibility standards with an emphasis on neuroinclusive design.
  • Finds joy in analysing and mapping user flows to gain insights for improvements and conducts hypothesis driven user research, validating design choices to provide maximum value.
  • Extremely comfortable in using Figma for concept ideation, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Continual improvement of design systems to improve efficiency based off feedback and insights.
  • Your portfolio showcases your expertise in Figma, service design, and user research. We want to see your messy design files, show us your thinking and processes, not just polished final products.
  • Experience of working in healthcare or SaaS products that had a focus on dashboards and flows that has multiple different end user considerations is a bonus.
