The Team
The Channels Experience team is a group of passionate and cross-functional individuals, including Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers, and UX Researchers. Together, we work in close collaboration to continually iterate and improve the Flipp app experience. Our unwavering focus is on the shopper, ensuring that every decision we make enhances their journey. Our goal is to create an app that is not only easy to use but also personalized, serving as a valuable pre-shop planning tool. By leveraging the power of technology, we empower shoppers to save an average of $45 per week on their groceries.

Your Impact
As a Senior Product Designer on the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the design strategy and driving the execution of new and existing features for the Flipp app. Your responsibilities extend beyond individual projects, serving as a role model within our Research & Design organization. This involves contributing to the team's culture, providing mentorship and feedback to your peers, and actively working to elevate the overall quality of our work through critique and process improvements. With your expertise and leadership, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the team's success and help raise the bar across all aspects of our practice.
What you'll get the opportunity to do:
- Lead the end-to-end design process for our mobile app, from concept development to final implementation
- Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring a user-centric approach
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions
- Collaborate closely with your Product Manager and Engineering peers to define requirements, prioritize features, turning delightful designs into scalable solutions
- Help maintain and evolve our Design System to ensure consistency and brand integrity across the app
- Mentor and provide guidance to more Junior Designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design culture within the team
- Translating ambiguous problems into concrete opportunities, inspiring confidence and action-taking among your peers
- Facilitate and lead ideation workshops with cross-functional teams, encouraging collaboration and creativity to generate innovative solutions
What you'll bring to the team:
- You have 7+ years of professional UX/Product Design experience
- You have evidence of strong visual and interaction design + communication competencies demonstrated through a portfolio, case studies, or equivalent
- You are independent in your thought process and can work in an agile and adaptable way with different cross-functional teams
- You know how to use the best processes and ways of working to drive an iterative and objectives-based design process without getting stuck in "analysis paralysis"
- You are customer-obsessed and absorb generous amounts of knowledge through research and peer collaboration to make well-informed decisions
- You are unafraid of taking bold risks and treat failure as an opportunity to iterate
- You have a knack for leaning in to drive successful outcomes, even if it means taking on the occasional tasks outside of your job description
- You enjoy bringing many perspectives and voices together to develop shared understanding of problems and co-create creative solutions
