About the Role
We currently have 2.5B+ visits per year, 23M+ active customers shopping with us and more than 50M unique visitors per month - this represents an extremely committed and exciting environment where to craft best-in-class digital products.
Our Product Teams are truly passionate about what they can achieve together, continuously researching, experimenting, launching, and refining the ASOS customer experience.
As a Product Designer, you will be working across the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery, creating documentation, wireframes, prototypes and pixel perfect UI that delight our customers.
You will be working predominantly in the Checkout and Payments area of our digital product lifecycle, meaning you’ll be responsible for creating, maintaining and innovating around the experience customers have when they checkout and pay for their items.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Undertake both design and research activities as required to help ensure solutions are insight driven and truly customer centric.
- Use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to inform and validate your design choices.
- Design with consistency and brand principles in mind, know when to use the design system and when to break it.
- Work cross-functionally with product owners, engineers, and insight.
- Communicate design choices, progress, and research findings early and often.
- Champion the user and be their voice at all times, follow and adhere to a user centred design philosophy.
- Ensure that all designs are in line with ASOS's target accessibility standards.
- Understand the technology, business processes and data models that underpin our user experiences.
- Keep abreast of new technology, design trends and emerging design thinking.
Who We’d Like to Meet
- We'd love to meet someone with experience in designing and shipping highly engaging consumer products.
- You'll have a broad range of skills covering user research, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
- Experience designing for multiple platforms -Web (Mobile, Tablet & Desktop), App (iOS & Android), and emails.
- Experience in making data-driven design choices (e.g. from analytics, quant/qual research, and MVTs).
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design choices and influence key stakeholders.
- Experience with working collaboratively and cross-functionally with Engineers, Product Owners and Marketing.
- Experience with relevant design tools (Sketch, Axure, Marvel, Protopie/Principle)
- 3+ years product design experience - e-commerce experience a bonus.
- A digital design degree or equivalent experience and an excellent portfolio.
