What you would do as our Product Category Manager
We are looking for someone who will manage the end-to-end product strategy, from development through to completion, of the mechanical product groups for all Door Hardware Group brands including; UNION, ASSA ABLOY, Adams Rite, Exidor and Dale.
Reporting into the Head of Product Management, you would:
- Develop and support the strategy of all mechanical product categories.
- Identify market gaps, key value chain drivers, trends, and customer profit potential.
- Have consistent and regular interface with the customer/ commercial market within the field.
- Support and drive product sales through proactive activities to support the commercial team.
- Initiate and own market research, obtain buy-in from relevant stakeholders, produce creative and original specifications for best-in-class customer centric products.
- Create and sponsor generation plans to drive NPI and product lifecycles.
- Understand and translate all industry standards and leverage to commercial advantage.
- Have overall management and co-ordination of New Product Development programs on time and to budget.
- Create effective cost/ price/ value propositions
- Be responsible for the full commercialisation of new product launches
