Role: Self-Shooting Producer/Editor (Contract)
Location: London, UK
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, growing video content team for a 277-year-old institution.
You will have the chance to help film and edit compelling video content. This role is for a six -month contract, with possibility to extend.
The ideal candidate is someone who has experience producing, shooting, and editing exciting content, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who is a natural storyteller and is always looking for the best way to tell it.
This role will work closely with the global video and social media teams, marketing, and specialist departments.
Responsibilities:
- Producing, shooting, editing compelling video and short form documentary film content for our website and social media channels.
- Work with our in-house video production and social media teams to execute treatments, scripts, storyboards and development of projects.
- The position is in the office in central London.
- Manage our in-house equipment, including overseeing inventory workflow.
- Coordinate with Sotheby’s Specialists and Operations team to schedule shoots and meet edit deadlines.
- Identify most efficient ways to create video content for social media
- Help audit current video content across our video channels and develop platform-specific series concepts.
- Identify cultural connections with the brand and outline ways of engaging through video concepts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to bring company-wide marketing campaigns to life through social media video.
- Continually explore new channels to grow our social media reach.
Ideal Experience & Competencies:
- Minimum 5 years of experience creating and editing videos for brands, agencies or film and television.
- Natural storyteller with experience in short-form documentary films.
- Experience publishing video content to major social platforms, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Proven track record of engaging, efficient and newsworthy video content.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro.
- Motion graphics skills are a plus
- Experienced with sound design and colour correcting in Premiere Pro
- Ideal Candidate will be experienced filming with the Sony FX9 and A7S.
- Ideal Candidate will have experience lighting interview setups and have knowledge of basic sound mixing.
- Is analytical and highly curious and creative. Has created fine arts and/or luxury content or has a strong interest in the fine arts.
- Possesses strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous priorities.
- Outstanding attention to detail, with a commitment to operational excellence.
- Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally across various levels of colleagues at the company, building appropriate rapport, using diplomacy and tact
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and wants to be part of an important team

Salary: £37,651.00-£50,000.00 per year
