Job Purpose
Support the Corporate Procurement Manager by ensuring the effective management and delivery of a high quality procurement service to all Council departments (focussing primarily on construction/works related contracts) in an economic, efficient and effective manner proving best value and enhancing service delivery to the Council and its communities in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council`s key objectives; specifically in relation to the Corporate Procurement Strategy, Community Plan, Shared commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.

Additional Information
This is a permanent full time post. The admin base for this post is Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock.
Hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday & 9am - 4pm Friday.
Annual Salary £36,873 - £47,629. This is a progressive graded post, covering Grade G10 - Grade G12 as detailed below:
Grade G10 £36,873 - £40,167
Grade G11 £40,404 - £42,843
Grade G12 £43,553 - £47,629
The level of participation and grade will be dependent on the post holder's relevant experience and / or qualifications. Grade progression is subject to an annual measurement of satisfactory performance and qualifications attained.
The workstyle for this post is ‘Mobile’ - 20-49% of time is office based. Able to work at home, or another location, or travel directly from home to other locations and client visits out in the field.
