We design, manufacture and build our unique lodges in house, ensuring the highest quality accommodation. They are sited on our bespoke, landscaped parks across the UK.
The Role
An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join our at our manufacturing site in Whitland as a Purchasing Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Selection of the right raw materials for our lodges.
- Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders.
- Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
- Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships.
- Researching new suppliers and negotiate with existing suppliers to ensure we are purchasing at the best prices.
- Preparing competitive pricing strategies.
- Work with Inventory control in order to ensure suitable inventory levels.
- Preparing budgets and forecasting purchasing trends.
- Compiling reports on purchasing and cost statistics.
- Working closely with the Production Managers and Schedulers to ensure timely provision of raw materials, enabling optimal production targets to be achieved.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of procurement and purchasing.
- Previous skills and experience working in a manufacturing background would be advantageous.
- Experience working in a team on a daily basis to ensure a smooth-running operation.
- The ability to work as an individual and as part of the wider management team.
- Professional and approachable manner.
- Manufacturing/Buyer Qualifications will be an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per year dependent on experience.
