A bit about the role...
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager – Beverages, you will be responsible for working with the Costa Global Business Units to develop the global procurement strategy in line with LRP/ABP and manage the process to ensure that this is delivered, including delivering the right product proposition for each of the Costa markets that meet the needs of our customers and grow beverage sales and margin. This will involve ensuring that ownership of cost models, savings & all procurement targets are delivered for each category of responsibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the application of best practice procurement across the breadth & depth of the categories, including provision of market insight, development of category strategies & associated sourcing plans, tendering, negotiation and supplier management
- Responsible with procurement finance for managing all associated COGs for each market
- Accountable for the sourcing of manufacturing capability & COGs delivery for Costa Coffee, including the selection, appointment and management of key suppliers
- Accountable for the negotiation & contracting of E2E COGs & pricing structures
- Ensure there is a robust Business Continuity Plan in place for all key business lines – in line with procurement business plans
- Responsible for working with the Costa Global Sustainability team and to ensure our Responsible Sourcing commitments regarding our products are delivered

- Educated to degree level or equivalent with significant Food and Beverage related procurement experience
- Procurement strategy development and implementation
- Sourcing plan development & implementation
- Procurement execution (business requirements analysis, market analysis, sourcing strategy, tender, negotiation, contract award, supplier management etc)
- Able to communicate & influence effectively at senior / Executive levels
- Broad understanding of the category sector and associated procurement best practice
- Fully conversant with a broad range of sourcing strategies required to category
- Procurement project and change management is desirable
