The role
Ferrovial Construction is looking for a Procurement Graduate to assist with the supplier procurement process. The Ferrovial 3-year graduate development programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of our Procurement Manager and Commercial Lead.
Description of Activities to be undertaken
- Support Procurement Manager in ensuring purchase & hire requisitions are processed in a timely manner
- Support in obtaining quotations from suppliers
- Support in liaising with suppliers to monitor the progress of Purchase Orders, ensuring deliveries take place on time and in full
- Support Procurement Manager in resolving Invoice queries and discrepancies with suppliers and accounts department
- Liaising with site teams and other departments in Ferrovial as required
- Support in updating the supplier list with relevant details
- Support in assessing price comparisons and uploading comparatives on to the procurement system INSITE
- Scanning and filing documents on 4Projects and the Server
- Support Procurement Manager in ensuring company systems, procedures and processes are always adhered to
- Graduate to support (spend time during the process) in commercial and accounts department in order to gain an understanding of how they interact with each other.
Skills and Competence
We are looking for graduates with:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels
- Excellent written and oral English language
- Degree or Master’s (All disciplines considered)
- Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment
- Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role and the Graduate programme
- Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving
- A proven team player who can effectively work with others
- Enjoys working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Proactive approach to working and learning
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry
- Familiar with all Microsoft packages
