What you’ll do
You will be leading end to end procurement activity of strategic, high value goods and services within the framework of EU Procurement Regulations for Utilities. This will include providing support, advice and guidance to stakeholders and lead on all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, including market and supplier analysis, options appraisal, tender process, evaluation and data analysis.
You will negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost savings and other benefits in support of Procurement and Supply Chain's business plan targets.
You will prepare a range of reports to facilitate decisions taken by senior stakeholders on procurements and strategies.
You will take control of effective Integrated Supply Chain Management in order to build and maintain a cohesive and effective supply chain that is not only fully integrated with Scottish Water and its partners, but delivers and exceeds the targeted value and efficiency in support of the business plan and Financial Outperformance Plan.
You will manage and optimise business to business relationships (internally & within the supply chain).
You will identify and manage of risk and opportunities within your categories.
Ensure Process Management through diligent and effective use of existing processes, systems, and governance; ensuring audit and legal requirements are met.

Drive compliance to SW frameworks and supply chain management processes through analysis and interpretation of data, guidance and education for specific users.
Seek and facilitate opportunities to drive and deliver further value for SW through its supply chain.
What you’ll bring
You will have a proven track record in the delivery of complex procurement projects and understanding of the full end-to-end strategic procurement process, including strategy development, tendering, supply chain management and negotiation with clear knowledge of public procurement and EU procurement legislation.
You will possess strong analytical skills with the ability to draw out key messages and findings to make recommendations and / or support decisions at senior levels;
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to effectively influence stakeholders and suppliers at all levels.
You will have a proactive, ‘can-do’ approach and energy - this is essential to ensure delivery at pace and to a high quality.
Be able to demonstrate problem solving abilities; active listening skills and effective, tailored engagement approaches.
Be professionally MCIPS qualified or working towards this.

Although this job is flexible, we bring our Procurement team together every Wednesday and on alternating Mondays in Stepps.

The salary range for this position is £45,873 - £58,418 depending on experience.
