We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Assistant reporting to the Deputy Procurement Operational Manager.

You will provide an effective and Professional procurement service to meet the needs and requirement of customers, Inline with the Trust Standing Financial Instruction's.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Band 3 Procurement Assistant to deal with orders and queries for clinical and non-clinical environments, purchasing a variety of products and services for all sites across the Trust. The role requires good attention to detail adding value when processing electronic requests for goods and services on the Trust's ordering system.

The role involves liaising with customers regarding their requirements, with suppliers to identify & secure supplies contributing to financial savings. This may involve obtaining quotations and product sourcing.

Incorporating working from home and being office based at the Trust's Corporate Services at Littlemore Mental Health Centre.

Working within a friendly Procurement team and alongside other teams in the Finance directorate.

This role requires;
Good numeracy and literacy skills for working with spreadsheets and emails.
Good telephone manner to support and advise other staff within all other services across the Trust.
Good attention to detail for purchase order processing.

  • New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
  • Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
