The role

As Procurement Assistant you will be supporting the Procurement Team to drive cost savings, efficiencies and process improvements across Boohoo and deliver commercial support for stakeholders across Various Categories. You will be the go to support for administration within the team. This role is Manchester based and we currently work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

We are looking for somebody who wants to progress their career within procurement and grow within this team with the support of our experienced Procurement Managers.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting with day to day administration tasks for the team
  • Contract administration
  • Support the Group Head of Procurement with administrative tasks which support the day to the day operation of the department
  • Support the Group Head of Procurement with presentations slide decks
  • Support the Travel Procurement Manager with travel administration and procurement
  • Achieving annualised procurement savings targets;
  • Supporting internal stakeholders to help them achieve their objectives, identify and drive out financial and quality improvement opportunities to deliver value to the bottom line;
  • Supporting on sourcing and contract review processes across a number of different categories.
  • Conducting commercial and contract negotiations;
  • Managing the commercial relationships with both new and incumbent suppliers, to ensure contracts and commercial arrangements are competitively priced, legally robust and that service levels are established, monitored and exceeded by our suppliers;
  • Ensuring contracts are set up in a timely manner and effectively mitigating supplier risk;
  • Supporting the Procurement Team in the strategic development of the Procurement department;
  • Researching suppliers, gaining and applying comprehensive understanding of different industries and markets and related cost-models within defined spend categories;
  • Relationship management of key suppliers to ensure consistently high service levels are achieved and to drive continuous improvement;
