JOB TITLE: Procurement Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 4 years+ PQE
LOCATION: Birmingham
THE ROLE:
This leading national law firm is looking to strengthen is national commercial team through the recruitment of an additional procurement specialist. The newly appointed Procurement Solicitor will be responsible for a wide-ranging caseload, providing advice to a diverse client base including NHS Bodies, education institutions, charities and national agencies as well as local government. The role will be varied and challenging and will involve drafting and advising on procurement documentation and challenges to procurement decisions. Dependent on experience level, supervision of more junior lawyers of the team will also be included in responsibilities.
THE CANDIDATE:
Our client is looking to recruit a Commercial Solicitor with at least 4 years’ PQE advising on a range of matters within procurement including drafting procurement contracts and policies, advising on procurement strategy and processes, and providing support during negotiations. You will be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, an understanding of the public sector and a clear drive to succeed within this specialist area of law. The role will be varied and include advising on all aspects of public procurement, advising on urgent contentious matters along with supervising junior members of the team. With a strong in-depth knowledge of the public sector you will be able to demonstrate excellent commercial legal skills and a track record of advising clients on difficult matters.
