Indirect Procurement Manager – Corporate Professional Services (Remote)

Description

Join our global Corporate Indirect Procurement team, where you will play a key leadership role shaping and defining our category and sourcing strategies - continually enhancing our ethical supply chain. We are responsible for a $5 billion spend, with a focus on reducing the Total Cost of Ownership for Indirect Goods and Services whilst increasing Supplier Diversity.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Reporting to the International Sourcing Leader EMEA, you will be leading, or implementing, global sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management across our Corporate Services and IT categories. As a part of our European strategic team you will have a collaborative role across all business units, defining project scopes, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities to lower the Total Cost of Ownership. You will also be:

  • Leading category strategy development - using a Total Value Performance approach, you will define the Supply Base and Technology Strategy in conjunction with internal stakeholders to meet current and future needs.
  • Sourcing, negotiating and finalising contracts with suppliers on a regional basis but will align to Global Category Strategies.
  • Implementing policies and metrics to ensure the best combination of cost, quality and delivery.
  • Joining our global Category Management Team (CMT), with responsibility for a direct report within the Europe team.
  • Working closely with our legal team to create contracts to cover commercial and legal requirements.

This role could be remotely located in the UK, or either Belgium or Germany where we have operations.

Qualifications

As an experienced Indirect Procurement or Purchasing specialist, you will have supported the development of major corporate service contracts and/or supplier relationship management. You will likely have managed a range of categories, such as Travel Services, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Compensation and Benefits, Pensions and Financial Services, Consultancies (IR35, Marketing etc).

Passionate about achieving an ethical and diverse supplier portfolio you will have:

  • Degree level or equivalent vocational or professional qualifications such as MCIPS.
  • An engaging approach to communications and negotiations, with the ability to adapt your approach and message for differing audiences.
  • Consistently achieved results, across strategy development, supplier management, cost management, negotiation and sourcing.
  • A global perspective, taking a broad view when approaching issues, supporting the wider corporate objectives.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Ariba Buyer/Sourcing/Spend/Category Management or Sievo will be advantageous.
  • Potentially managed a team however this isn’t critical, and we can support your development in this area.
