Role: Procurement Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
Location: Birmingham
Type: Permanent (35 hours per week)

Overview
2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager based in Birmingham. As the Procurement Manager, you must be CIPS qualified or working towards this and will support the delivery of the end-to-end procurement process for the day-to-day goods and service needs and assist in the development and delivery of the Procurement Strategy.

Role & Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager

  • Ongoing review of the end-to-end procurement processes striving for the most effective and efficient means of procuring goods and services.
  • Support the Director of Finance in developing and delivering the Procurement Strategy.
  • Support in achieving strategic ambitions around sustainability and its ethical supply chain commitments.
  • Developing and managing procurement communications promoting best practice, sharing preferred suppliers, procurement practice/policies etc.
  • Leading the process of on-boarding, reviewing existing contracts/leases/suppliers and transitioning them over to the preferred suppliers, systems, and processes for Procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with Financial Regulations, Procurement Legislation, and the Procurement policy.
  • Maintain a master contracts register which facilitates effective management of these contracts identifies opportunities for contract consolidation/alignment etc.
  • Leading on reducing the number of suppliers, creating, and maintaining a list of preferred suppliers, and getting the buy in.
  • Develop and report a suite of KPIs for procurement which feeds through to the Risk & Compliance Framework.
  • Produce required Management Information detailing the progress on the delivery of the procurement strategy, statistics, savings made, etc.

Requirements of the Procurement Manager

  • Must be CIPS qualified or working towards, or other relevant qualification
  • Experience of procurement and all associated processes within a medium-large complex organisation
  • Experience of managing change and implementing new systems/procedures/controls
  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of procurement within a multi-site organisation and how this contributes to maximise benefits
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations relating to procurement and contract management
  • Thorough knowledge of procurement practice and processes (including development and use of associated IT systems)
