The purpose of the Process Technician role is:

To carry out plant operations for the manufacture final products; on a 3 x 3 shift pattern

The role will report to the Shift Team Leader.

In this role you will

  • Operating processes normally restricted to one operational area encompassing two production streams and will be required to carry out ‘on the job’ training in all elements of the processes.
  • Work as part of a team to perform a full range of operations including but not limited to batching, transfer of solvents filtration, drying, offloading, sampling, CIPs, in-process checks such as PH & particulate analysis etc.
  • Preparation of plant for engineers including but not limited to washing out for entry, isolation of solvent lines for repairs to pumps, valves, flow meters, etc in accordance with the site permit to work system
  • Maintaining the work area including general housekeeping ensuring audit readiness.
  • Ensuring correct use and completion of batch log sheets in accordance with relevant procedures & current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP).
  • Carry out general task, initiating unexpected condition forms and providing support to assist with Quality and environment health & safety (EHS) investigations.

  • Expected to attend training in line with MyLearning curricula and associated role specific development programmes

ZSC Divestment

The ZSC Business has been sold to an external company. It is GSK’s proposal to close its ZSC manufacturing operations once the technology transfer to the buyer is complete and the Manufacturing and Supply Agreement has come to an end. At this time, and in the absence of any other alternative, GSK would be proposing to close the ZSC sites. GSK would explore all options for retraining, supporting employees who might be at the risk of redundancy.
