Due to present business needs we have vacancies for Production Operatives within Weaving & Winding. Successful applicants will be trained to work as skilled operatives within production.
All applicants must be fully flexible and prepared to participate in shifts following a 5-day 3 shift rotating pattern (rotating weekly early shift 7am-3pm, night shift 11pm-7am and late shift 3pm-11pm).
Essential Criteria:
· Numeracy and literacy skills
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Manual dexterity
· Flexible and organised
· Ability to work to targets unsupervised and on own initiative
· Ability to work in a team
· Ability to work all 3 shifts on a rotational basis.
Desirable Criteria:
· Relevant experience
Rate of pay:
During 6-8 weeks training the pay is £12.50 (inclusive of a shift allowance) and an additional allowance is paid when on night shift.
From 1 May and on successful completion of training the rate of pay will increase to £13.60 per hour with an additional shift allowance when on night shift.
As skills develop there is an opportunity to move to the full production rate of £15.07.
Interviews will be arranged on an on-going basis until positions are filled.
