Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 plus bonus, company car or allowance and Veolia benefits
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm
Location: Birmingham (Candidates will be required to travel to multiple Veolia sites across the UK but will be based in Birmingham everyday for the first 3-6 months)

What you'll be doing;
- Monitoring performance, analysing data and reporting opportunities for improvement to support Veolia’s Energy Recovery Facilities and other thermal treatment plants across the UK
- Propose innovative technology or solutions and create new projects to add further value to these assets
- Support business development with technical knowledge through concept, design, costing and delivery stages of growth projects
- Working on decarbonisation projects to support, deploy and deliver Veolia’s road map to Net Zero. Integrate solutions with other areas of the business where appropriate
- Produce energy and mass balances
- Assessing changes to regulation, and propose solutions to new challenges, as well as supporting the implementation of changes or new technologies
- Prepare and support plant trials, ie for compliance purposes or to test new/innovative processes
- Provide support to help produce technical specifications and tender documents
- Participate and contribute to health and safety tasks, for example HAZOP studies
What we're looking for;
Ideally, the successful candidate would have gained some experience working in waste management, power generation, energy from waste, energy recovery facility, chemical, process, oil and gas, boiler, marine or navy sectors.
- Engineering qualification (chemical, mechanical, electrical) with process experience is essential
- Technical knowledge gained within the energy industry in particular energy from waste / thermal conversion / power and heat recovery technologies / continuous process is desirable
- Ability to produce and manipulate data on excel
- Good understanding of costing and financial models
- A full UK driving licence is required for this role
- Vision on the waste industry and future challenges / movements
