Precise Tool & Manufacturing is currently seeking a Precision Machining & Fabrication Process Engineer.
Under the general direction of the Engineering Manager, the Precision Machining & Fabrication Process Engineer processes manufacturing jobs.
Job Requirements
- Writing manufacturing processes and entering into Epicor software.
- Working with the entire engineering group on machine process and tooling.
- Interfacing with department supervisors and machinists on a regular basis.
- Utilizing customer supplied CAD files when available to process manufacturing plan.
- Utilizing CAD skills to create work holding and fixturing layouts.
- Interfacing with CNC programmers, notifying tool crib of upcoming jobs, developing queuing system for kits ready to set up, verifying tooling is available for jobs, insuring back-ups are available.
- Coordinates all projects as they progress through the shop.
- Monitors profitability as jobs are running.
- Expedites any materials and components for all jobs assigned to insure jobs stay on schedule.-Completes routing for customer jobs.
- Works with group and manufacturing to develop tooling and fixturing concepts for all new work.
- Updates all processes during and after production.
- Works with manufacturing to insure processes are being followed, and to incorporate time saving methods when suggested.
- Investigates and dispositions all discrepant quality issues for all jobs assigned.
- Reviews all jobs with department manager at hand-off, and when ready to move to the floor.
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years machining work experience and 3 years job processing experience.
