Summary:
Support product and process improvement through requirement intake to customer delivery for microelectronics assembly and test operations. Partner with all functions to improve methods, process, and procedures that drive performance to our customers. Use Lean Six Sigma (LSS) as the primary strategy method to improve. The main objectives of the Continuous Improvement Engineer are:
1. Lead continuous improvement projects with multiple functional teams
2. Maintain a value stream map that is representative of the business that models current performance for project prioritization.
3. Identify areas of opportunity within our business and operations using key process indicators.
4. Build a business routine within the site to measure, monitor, track, and report out progress of critical projects.
5. Partner with process engineering in root cause analysis of production issues (rework, scrap, etc.) to compel yield improvement, implementing process control, and waste reduction.
6. Train site personnel on basic Lean Six Sigma principles to assist in waste identification.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Lead continuous improvement activities for implementation into operations/business processes
· Teach, train and lead work-cells in adopting continuous process improvement initiatives
· Collect, analyze, present and disseminate data in support of facility-wide improvement/LSS program
· Operate as an Agent of Change to lead Micross in successful adoption and implementation of LSS program
· Amend and draft procedures, as required, to integrate LSS initiatives into broader Micross Quality Systems
· Participate in a variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies

Job Qualifications:
· BS in engineering or physical sciences preferred: electrical, industrial, manufacturing, materials science, or mechanical engineering, or electrical technology
· Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in Manufacturing/Operations
· LSS experience: Black Belt preferred
· Total and practical competence in Six Sigma analytical tools and Lean Manufacturing methods
· Experience working in an electronics manufacturing facility strongly preferred
· Experience working in a AS9100 environment a significant plus
· Experience within the military/aerospace industry (or other highly regulated industry) a plus
· Knowledge of MIL-Specs/Stds a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
