Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive process excellence across global datacenter operations. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing operational processes within our datacenter environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our datacenter operations by leading process optimization initiatives and collaborating closely with internal and external partner teams.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will partner with business process owners across the organization to identify and execute process improvements with the aim of driving stability and reduction in process variations and associated key cycle time metrics. You will be responsible for identifying, coaching, and training process champions across teams and develop process capability roadmaps for growing and maturing the organizational process practice. Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring and communicating the project impacts in partnership with the team leads and process owners.

Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to document end to end business processes, workflows, runbooks and generate standardized process maps using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) templates.
- Drive business process analysis using industry tools like SIPOC, FMEA, 8D, Fishbone, Cause effect analysis etc. to proactively identify, document, prioritize and align on process improvement opportunities.
- Partner and coach process champions across teams to establish, grow and standardize process excellence practice. Create process capability roadmaps to support org’s process maturity journey and drive alignment with technology roadmaps.
- Establish process and technology metrics for regular maturity assessment and improvements.
- Demonstrate data driven strategies to expand connected enterprise automation capabilities through cross functional process and technology projects.
- Translate ideas into reality by writing high quality specs that cover end-to-end customer scenarios, and drive for results throughout the process cycle.
- Work closely with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements and ensure alignment on scenarios.
- Listen and learn directly from customers and through customer data to ensure we’re making correct decisions each step of the way.
- Managing schedules, risks, and issues and communicating them effectively to the team, management, and partners.
- Create strategy and technology roadmap by collaborating with the team, product and design partners.
- Communication – clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
- OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in datacenter operations engineering management.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience in DMAIC and LEAN methodologies to drive statistically significant improvements.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Experience working with business process analysis and business process management tools.
- Experience of defining process and technology maturity frameworks and establishing performance metrics.
- Track record of problem-solving and achieving results through process / digital transformation.
- Experience in driving program or product management defining, driving, and shipping software products or services.
Track record of effectively collaborating across feature teams and disciplines as a contributor or leader. - Proven ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author detailed functional specifications, and demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end at product milestones.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as Minitab, JMP, R, Python, SAS. In addition, Microsoft Visio, Excel and Power BI.
- Understanding of and experience in telecom and data center networking
