About the Opportunity

Our Intelligent Engineering Solutions business delivers a wide range of solutions, across a variety of clients and business sectors through the full project lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning. Our history in working in diverse sectors, particularly in highly regulated industries such as nuclear and chemicals are helping us to develop solutions in challenging environments and to support the focus on clean energy. We have passion to deliver solutions to our clients that are supporting the energy transition through current projects in green hydrogen, fusion technology, carbon capture and utilisation, and nuclear.

You will be responsible for process design development and will report to one of our Process Engineering Leads who will provide you with support and guidance in the role. You will work within a multi-discipline team to deliver the process design which typically includes key process engineering activities such as calculations, simulations and reports, process safety assessments, and participation in HAZOPs and design reviews.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Planning and prioritising your own work to ensure that functional project requirements on scope, time and cost are met
  • Carry out engineering calculations to deliver a quality functional input to projects
  • Carry out commissioning activities at client site as required, to ensure successful engineering handover
  • Ensure that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained
  • Develop own engineering experience and skills, moving towards the capability to move to a more senior role and towards professional qualification
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years in Process Engineering or related role
  • Adaptable Process Engineering experience, and ability to use transferable skills across a wide range of projects and industries, supported by our experienced multi-discipline engineering team.
  • A good knowledge of Process Design Health, Safety and Environmental (DHSE) issues and knowledge of key regulations (e.g. DSEAR, CDM, COMAH) is preferable, but not essential.
  • A pro-active, self-starter, with excellent collaborative, innovative, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within process and multi-discipline teams
