About the Opportunity

Jacobs is now hiring talented Process Engineers, across all grades from Junior to Principal, to support our work on Advanced Nuclear Reactor projects including the RR Small Modular Reactor. These reactor programmes will develop modular reactor designs that are expected to become a key part of the UK’s energy supply in the future, applying innovative techniques, modular construction and advanced manufacturing techniques to develop a solution that will drive down the cost of electricity generation from nuclear power.

  • Positions are available in our Stockton and Knutsford offices, although Warrington and Gloucester can also be considered
  • This post is for those with experience of working within highly regulated industries, preferably Nuclear
  • You will be responsible for process design development, hazard identification studies and technical assurance of design reports
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Degree qualified in Process Engineering (or related subject)
  • Chartered or Incorporated member (or working towards Chartership)
  • Experience of front-end engineering design through to full life cycle project requirements
  • A broad Process understanding to be able to undertake different projects
  • Knowledge of civil nuclear plant systems, structures and component and associated design and assessment guidelines
  • Excellent collaborative, innovative, problem-solving and communication skills
