PROCESS ENGINEER – Engineering Changes JOB SUMMARY: The Process Engineer - Engineering Changes the gate keeper of organizing engineering changes for all program launches. You will receive and process all internal and external change requests from program award to start of production. Detailed record keeping and facilitating the timely flow of information from our engineering and sales team is critical.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Receive and maintain accurate record of all internal and external change requests. • Lead regularly scheduled “Engineering Change meetings with each launch team. • Maintain accurate record of planned process labor with the account manager. • Update layout.

• Update engineering documents as requested. • Maintain accurate records on all changes and break points. • Establish break points. • Meet performance metric of closing changes after implementation.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. • Support launch activities by arranging and assisting with preproduction builds. • Train all plant engineering change coordinators. • Coach and mentor plant engineering change coordinators.
• Ensure all plants meet the performance metric of closing changes after implementation. • Engage in problem solving activities related to engineering system failures. • Create supporting documentation for launch activities and preproduction builds. • Follow and improve our Engineering Change Management system.
• All other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • College Degree preferred. • 5+ years of plant engineering coordinator experience • 10+ years’ experience in automotive industry preferred. TRAVEL: • Travel Required: 15% KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Strong attention to detail.
• Able to and understands value of obtaining complete and accurate information in order to avoid decision making or results based on inaccurate information, resulting in program delays and unnecessary expenditure of resources. • Able to make sound management decisions based on information provided. • Excellent follow through skills and time management. • Ability to read, analyze, and create various documentation related to tooling and/or engineering.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization and with customers and suppliers. • Ability to explain new ideas and concepts so others will understand. • Must have basic PC/L knolwedge and undeerstanding of record balances. • Must be knowlegeable in Microsoft Office programs (i.e.

Excel, Word and Power Point). • Have general knowledge of the manufacturing process. • Able to lead meetings. • Must have problem solving skills.
