Join us as a Private Financing Sales Associate
- Working in the UK Sponsors team in Private Financing Sales, you’ll support senior salespeople to effectively cover our clients and deliver a full One Bank service
- Day-to-day, you’ll be liaising with our structuring and trading teams to facilitate deals across our client base and acting as the face of our bank to large global sponsors
- Help us to deliver on our bank’s purpose and strategy in Private Financing, as you create a valuable and far-reaching impact through your work
What you’ll do
The Private Financing Sales team has excellent relationships across European Financial Institutions and with financial sponsors. Its focus is to originate private lending and bilateral financing transactions through the deployment of NatWest Market’s balance sheet.
With that in mind, you’ll be working closely with the private financing product teams to deliver a tailored offering and activities for clients across Funding, Asset and Liability Management, Repo and Risk Transformation, Speciality Lending and Advisory.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Distributing and syndicating risk into NatWest Market’s client base through great partnerships and other ways, like SRT placements and co-investments
- Helping NWM's clients and our bank with portfolio and balance sheet optimisation across legacy and newly originated assets, liquidity management, funding, structuring and placement
- Supporting with the go forward strategic and purpose-led overage model
- Meeting financial objectives, revenue and costs as defined in your performance objectives
- Targeting a sustainable and robust business profit and loss stream and risk profiles
The skills you’ll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a background in financial markets. An understanding of structured products, asset classes or other relevant product areas would be advantageous.
You’ll be a self-starter and have the ability to create and maintain relationships with other product and coverage teams across our bank to make sure we can effectively cross-sell across our Financial Institutions franchise.
Furthermore, you’ll need:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Great Microsoft Office skills to onboard new clients, track customer appetites and manage spreadsheets and pipelines
- Knowledge of the financial institutions, sponsors and funds market in Europe
- An understanding of how to interact with clients and internal stakeholders
- Outstanding organisational skills and experience of booking calls, meetings, process NDAs, onboarding and KYC processes
