Summary
Private live-out carer is required on a rotational basis along side two other carers for a 78-year old lady who has recently suffered from a stroke.
The duties will be carried out in the family home in Central London where she resides with her husband, and care assistance will only be required for the female.
The role has an expected start date of late September / early October and will not be suitable for those with other work commitments as this is a full time role.
Please also note that a minimum of two years proven care experience within a private client home is required.
Duties to include:
-Provide high quality care and support with a positive, professional, compassionate, and discreet manner.
- All aspects of daily living, including personal care, dressing, feeding and mobility.
- Overnight observation / assistance when required (Night Care).
-Assistance with incontinence needs & toileting.
-Medication management.
-Provide emotional support and reassurance.
-Preparation of meals.
-Regularly assisting with taking the client out for walks to support a quality of life, and possibly accompany on holiday breaks.
-Light housekeeping and various ad-hoc errands.
-Companionship.
-Assist with ongoing rehabilitation including following care plans which are provided from supporting medical practitioners.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years proven care experience in a private client home setting.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centred approach to care.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Valid DBS Check (proof will be required).
Preferred requirements:
- Care Certificate.
