We are looking for a Private Banker / Relationship Manager to join our team in our London office.
The candidate shall be customer-centric, focused on identifying the needs of prospective and existing clients in order to deliver tailor-made solutions for their financial matters. The candidate should be able to bring and manage a book of at least US$ 50 million or equivalent in investable assets, and continue growing new clientele focusing, such as high net worth (HNW) individuals, entrepreneurs and families.
With a strong knowledge of the wealth management and financial markets sectors, a pro-active mind set, well-informed, effective at multi-tasking and time management. The candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, good judgment, and capable to demonstrate in-depth understanding of clients’ businesses and sources of wealth generation.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the London team, you will actively collaborate with colleagues locally as well as from other CIGP Group offices (e.g. Geneva, Hong Kong, Milan, Dubai). The role’s responsibilities shall include:
- Build a holistic view of each client’s needs and help them achieve their goals by building tailor-made solutions that address their investment, risk management, and financial needs.
- Advise clients on investments and asset allocation, working closely with the Research team as well as with the Investment Committee to support the overall planning needs as well as Group objectives.
- Build strong relationships with clients and their families to establish long-term connections, anticipate needs in a client’s life, and be considered as a trusted confidant for strategic advices with financial implications.
- Lead and Coordinate clients’ account openings and help execute all processes of the life-cycle of an account with the support of our in-house administrative and compliance staff.
- Set challenging goals, regularly monitor progress and make adjustments to achieve objectives by establishing a referral network, actively identifying prospects, establishing contact and converting prospects into actual clients.
- Act as the primary liaison with client’s accountants, attorneys and other advisors while regularly reporting and updating the team about new changes/developments.
- Provide strong commitment to team success by leveraging own capabilities and share such knowledge and expertise with the team.
- Mentor, coach and develop administrative staff, and assign fundamental responsibilities in a way that allows individuals to grow and succeed.
- Actively monitor financial markets, client’s portfolios, and contribute new investment strategies that improve the level of service to all firm clients.
- Liaise with the other teams of the Group and refer client inquiries looking for Investment Banking, private equity and/or direct investment services.
- Travel occasionally to other CIGP locations to meet other members of the Group.

Requirements
Academic:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting and/or Economics or equivalent education. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Advanced degree or professional certification is an advantage (e.g. CFA, …).
Work experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Relationship Manager/Private Banker /Client Advisor or in a client-facing role.
- Proven experience in Private Banking, having covered (U)HNW clients and demonstrated track record in relationship building & client acquisition/wealth management.
- Knowledgeable in financial services, markets and regulations.

- IT skills: Strong command of the entire Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Languages: Full working proficiency in English. Additional language(s) is/are a plus.
