Job description

We are looking for an assistant, based at our Campus Print Shop at the University of York, to provide digital printing and copying, and related finishing and binding services to students, staff, and external customers. Design and Print Solutions offer professional quality, affordable design and print services and the Print Shop is located on the University’s West Campus.

Alongside providing general advice and assistance to customers on the print services they require, you will also be responsible for general reception duties and handle general telephone and email enquiries. You should have knowledge of how to use a colour printer and how to resolve basic IT queries in relation to sending documents. Excellent customer service, organisation and communication skills are essential for this role.

This is a part-time position for 18.5 hours per week. The starting salary offered is £11.73 per hour (increasing to £12.00 per hour 1 August 2023). YCL is proud to be a Real Living Wage employer.
