To support the continued growth of Hitachi Construction Machinery UK Ltd (HCMUK), we are looking for a Print Room Operative to join our Production Team based at our Hebburn Depot. The basic hours of the role are currently 7:00 to 16:30 Monday-Thursday and 7:00 to 12:15 Friday working 40 hours per week. Overtime and some weekend working can be expected. Your duties will include:
- Liaise with clients and sales executives regarding customer’s signage requirements.
- Preparing and laying out designs and lettering.
- Vehicle wrapping.
- Measure and calculate letter sizes and graphics.
- Preparing surfaces.
- Apply designs onto machines.
- Using traditional techniques and modern materials such as vinyl graphics.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels.
- General housekeeping.

About You
We’re looking for someone with past engineering experience with a degree of electrical knowledge. You’ll have no problems reading basic technical drawings and schematics. Coupled with this you’ll need to have great attention to detail and be able to adapt quickly in an ever changing work environment. Underpinning the above will be your professional attitude, great time management and your excellent communication skills. Ideally you will also have some past experience of working with HGV’s, heavy construction machinery or motor vehicles although this isn’t essential.
