The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the London Head Office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The xxx team aim for around 2-3 days a week in the office to connect and these days are usually Tues-Thurs
Salary range - £48,000 - £74,200
Contract type - 12 month fixed term contract (Maternity cover) starting in July 2023.
About the role:
This experienced print designer will sit with the John Lewis in-house fashion print designers for all of our Own brand products in Fashion.
The role is to primarily work on JLP Girlswear, Baby girlswear and premium range Hierloom all genders and ages for childrenswear .. The role will also work closely with all print designers to build the seasonal TCP ( Trend Colour and Print Vision) to start the season for all product designers, they will work as a team to identify all key seasonal macro trends for fashion, colour and print directions. They will research and develop appropriate prints where best serves a direction for this overarching vision and of course the John Lewis Customer.
Fulltime mix of remote and in office working hours
Attending all meetings for designated areas.
Keeping up to date on research for designated areas, from an aspirational and competitive POV
Designing and circulating prints in an agreed way to insure productive ways of working.
Good portfolio of age appropriate print, including character and conversational prints. Good handwriting for florals.
Essential skills you’ll need:
Always on the front foot regarding market research and insight for designated area.
Manages process of product development and critical paths, presenting confidently to stakeholders.
Combining technical ability with presenting the appropriate trends throughout the season as necessary
Adobe Creative suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
A good understanding of Google suite
Good stakeholder management, and used to working with buyers and product designers
