Job description
We are looking for a self-motivated, driven, and adaptable individual who enjoys the challenge to join our growing business. Our print and design team, based in Thetford, help us design, print and package our products for delivery across the UK and we’re looking for a new addition.
Designs on Print is a bespoke, large-format printing business that specializes in promotional items like the face-in-the-hole boards you will have seen around the UK. The Print and Design Technician will be responsible for working with our clients to finalize designs for print and then use our large format printers and equipment to create their items. As this print equipment is quite specialist so training will be provided.
Please note: This can be a physically demanding job, with some heavy lifting and the need to move and work on large print materials.

Main Duties
The Print and Design Technician’s main responsibilities will be to design, print and package our bespoke print products. This will include:
- Design of artwork for our bespoke products, using info supplied by the client and our own templates
- Producing printed products using large-format inkjet printers
- General production of bespoke print items
- Design of bespoke artwork as required (signs, leaflets, etc)
- Communicating with clients via email and telephone
- Daily cleaning and general maintenance of equipment
Essential Skills
The right candidate will have …
- Knowledge of Adobe software – Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience in graphic design and working with client briefs
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Attention to fine detail
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with common hand tools
