An exciting, full-time opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated traffic management professional to join the City Transport Services as a Principal Traffic Regulation Orders Officer at Bristol City Council.
Working within the Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) team, you will be part of an experienced and well-established team promoting Traffic Regulation Orders and statutory Notices for permanent and experimental traffic/parking schemes.
This is a varied, fulfilling role where the results of your work will have a big impact on how people travel about/through and experience Bristol. You will be responsible for assessing, processing, and leading on complex TRO transport schemes whilst also supporting others to deliver a wide programme of TRO work to a high standard
Ideally you will have a breadth of traffic management and Traffic Regulation Orders knowledge and be able to work under pressure to produce work of a high standard. Being able to communicate complex requirements to various stakeholders and a small team of TRO staff is essential.
These are exciting times in the City of Bristol as we continue to receive considerable investment in its transport and highway infrastructure from the Government and other stakeholders to introduce innovative active travel measures to support sustainable modes of transport.
