Purpose of the job:
To develop and deliver flexible training and learning to meet the requirements for Adults Social Care Directorate.
Continually scope the Business as Usual (BAU) Training and Learning requirements from Adult Social Care Managers, Teams, Business Change and stakeholders to support the changing practical application of Liquidlogic Adult System (LAS) and any other specialist applications such as ContrOCC, CASPAR (this list is not exhaustive).
Lead the development of training material with both the external provider and internal workforce (Business Leads) and ensure robust outcome-focused training-based work packages are delivered in a timely manner.
Ensure all stakeholders including the Senior Leadership team are consulted as and when necessary through the maintenance of agreed communication strategies.
Ensure all operational aspects of training are managed and carried out by working in partnership with the Organisation, CPD and IT to ensure that the trainees receive the relevant access to the system. E.g. training assigned to individuals and monitored across the directorate.
Work with the Organisation, including Communications, third parties and citizens of Dudley, bringing the stakeholders together by hosting workshops and demonstrations.
Lead the review of all training material to ensure that it is fit for purpose, factually accurate and developed for the target audience.
Demonstrate experience in designing, commissioning delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes and events for social work and social care professionals
As an exemplary practitioner, provide leadership and professional knowledge to colleagues; promote innovation, model, champion and facilitate good practice.
Demonstrate professional commitment and a high level of knowledge, critical thinking, communication skills and creativity, to support people to achieve positive outcomes and a good quality of life.
To undertake leadership roles and deputize for the Learning and Development Manager as required. To have responsibility for the supervision of junior staff as identified by the Learning and Development Manager.
Specific Accountabilities and Expected Outcomes:
· Work with internal and external stakeholders to create and deliver a range of training modules for social care and social work staff across adults’ services.
· Work with the Learning and Development Manager and CPD to create programmes for adult social work practitioners and managers.
· Monitor and evaluate training and learning programmes that are delivered by external partners to ensure high-quality training is delivered.
· Maintain and develop an evaluative environment that measures impact as well as promoting activity.
· Raise the profile of the organisation at conferences, events, internal website and relevant publications.
· Maximise opportunities for income generation by providing and delivering training for external audiences.
· Prepare regular reports on learning and development activity for the senior management team showing contact-delivered attendance and outcomes. To ensure accurate staff training and development data is stored, maintained and that the necessary reports are provided.
· Ensure that a range of methods are used to deliver the learning and development programmes which include the effective use of information technology.
· To assist managers in providing solutions to identify the training and development needs of the adult workforce by carrying out ongoing research.
· Ensure that a range of delivery methods are utilised that improve learning opportunities and maximize outcomes for participants.
· Work with the Learning and Development Manager and CPD to create, deliver, monitor and evaluate bespoke programmes.
· Responsible for the effective dissemination of information across adults’ services.
· Network appropriately across the region and nationally and represent the department on outside bodies as appropriate.
· Assist in the development and delivery of divisional strategic plans linked to training and continual professional development.
· Identify different sources of funding across local partnerships to generate income.
· Provide supervision to designated staff in accordance with the Regulatory Body’s requirements for continuous professional development. This may include being responsible for identifying and helping to resolve poor practice.

•If appropriate be responsible for the recruitment and performance management of designated teams and individuals in accordance with Corporate and Directorate aims and management style.
•To comply with the Organisation’s financial regulation and standing orders

Driving Licence will be subject to checking with the DVLA. It is a Organisation requirement to have Business Use Car Insurance and a valid MOT certificate (For cars over 3 years old)
