Principal Engineer - Computing and IT Location: Frimley, with occasional travel across the UK. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Salary: Competitive What you'll be doing: Leading the installation of software onto test environments Conducting upgrade to test equipment software Providing technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers through to system acceptance by the customer Supporting the documentation of domain knowledge and be to pass on expertise to help grow the knowledge base within appropriate business teams Providing technical guidance to other combat system engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities Designing change requirements and documentation controlled in accordance with company processes Capturing and agreeing input to appropriate Verification Cross-Reference Index (VCRI), Integration, Test, Evaluation and Acceptance Plans (ITEAP) and Qualification Plans Your skills and experiences: Essential: IT deployment (3 rd line support) Network troubleshooting Design documentation and validation Desirable: Active directory Virtualisation Defence/ Systems Engineering/ Automotive background Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Dreadnought Common Infrastructure team: The team is responsible for the combat systems infrastructure that is delivered for development on qualification within the supply chain, for tactical application integration testing and for platform deployment.
