SRUC is unique in Scotland and one of the largest organisations of its kind in Europe. Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.
Food & Footprint is SAC Consulting’s end-to-end, evidence-based consultancy offering focused on supporting the food and drink and land use sectors to be more sustainable. It does this by combining the skills of the three teams (Food & Enterprise, Environment, Forestry & Woodlands) with those of key colleagues in the wider SRUC, to provide a service that is greater than the sum of its parts. More information can be found at www.sruc.ac.uk/food-and-footprint.
SAC Consulting’s Food & Enterprise team works closely with industry to deliver commercial consultancy work and with colleagues in both the Research and Education divisions of SRUC to deliver food and supply chain related Knowledge Transfer and Exchange (KTE) projects. It is a key consultancy provider to Scotland’s food and drink sector and the team is well known and well respected for the work it delivers in the three key areas of sustainability and net zero, rural economic and policy, and business growth and support.
We are seeking a Principal Consultant (Food & Enterprise) with the right experience, knowledge, and personality to lead and make a significant contribution our Food & Enterprise team and our wider Food & Footprint group. This role would suit an experienced and dynamic individual who has an existing profile, expertise and strong practical consultancy experience in the food and drink sector – especially regarding sustainability – or the economics of sustainable food production.
