MK Primary Pupil Referral Unit
Stephenson (MK) Trust is an organisation committed to supporting young people who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream primary provision (Milton Keynes Primary PRU) and secondary provision (Bridge Academy) and specialist 9-16 years provision for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (Stephenson Academy). We provide inclusive education for young people with a range of educational and social needs in order to maximise and improve their life chances.

Milton Keynes Primary PRU is an Alternative Provision Academy, part of Stephenson (MK) Trust. We are committed to building a strong foundation within our workforce in order to improve the life chances of each child and young person within our Academies. Our age range is 5-11 and we have an embedded induction programme and Initial Teacher Training scheme, as well as development within the Trust for support staff as well as teachers. Wellbeing is a high priority for us, for staff and pupils alike.
The Principal is responsible for managing the daily operation of Milton Keynes Primary PRU (MKPPRU) and for the supervision of all students and staff, and the academy premises. They provide the day-to-day direction and leadership that represents a consistent and effective model of integrity, excellence, collaboration and accountability
You will:
- Promote the vision, values and ethos of Stephenson (MK) Trust to students, staff, families and the wider community.
- Report to Governors and organization of reports to Governors
- Line manage senior staff and undertake annual appraisal and target setting.
- Motivate others to ensure a high expectation learning environment through effective distribution of leadership.
- Translate the vision into agreed objectives and operational plans for the academy.
- Maintain high standards in all aspects of academy life.
Personal qualities such as integrity and being able to work effectively as part of a team are more important than experience in this field, which is why our staff join us from different roles and trades.
