Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-time, part-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2023

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to support the delivery of high-quality lessons and activities.
  • Assist students with their learning, providing one-on-one or small group support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and orderly space for learning.
  • Provide additional support to children with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
  • Encourage the development of social and emotional skills through effective communication and relationship building.

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience with children, ideally within an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • Basic knowledge of educational strategies and techniques.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 16-35 per week

Salary: £385.00-£480.00 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bolton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
