An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Care Digital Support Administrator to join NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ICB
The Primary Care Digital Team manages and supports delivery of digital solutions and IT infrastructure for all GP practices and PCNs (Primary Care Networks) in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. We are guided by the GP IT Operating Plan and your role will provide support to the business functions in GP IT and local and national digital primary care projects.
We will need to support the internal staff and external primary care staff, assisting in day-to-day activities such as: general administration support to the primary care digital team, monitoring and actioning of our generic mailboxes, support collation and quality productions of papers for meetings. Maintain effective digital filing systems, arrangement of meetings as required, transcribe action notes of meetings and chase outstanding items. Run digital reports, hardware stock control and associated financial paperwork and maintain our interactive task management tools (examples of systems being Monday.com and MS (Microsoft) Teams Planner).
The role will require an experienced person with IT and digital skills. Further training will be provided.

The post-holder will proactively utilise project support skills and techniques for planning, coordination and evaluation of all programmes and project support activities. Implement and roll out to all staff, new IT applications\systems. For example, N365 products, new email mailboxes.
Analyse requests for digital assistance from within the ICB and wider primary care, signposting those enquiries to the appropriate resource and may include a level of advice and support (training will be provided) Manage a number of projects at one time. Project administrative support, demonstrating initiative in the coordination and communications across all work streams.
Coordinate team responses to FOI’s (Freedom of Information) and ensure completion within timescales.
Maintain and coordinate the ICB and primary care hardware refresh programme. Including maintaining stock levels, obtaining quotes, ordering and recording CITS (Cornwall IT Services) activity for deployment.
Maintain the joiners and leavers policy, track new starters requests and oversee deployment of equipment. Ensure equipment is returned to stock when staff leave.
Participate in the development, testing, implementation and review of IT equipment/digital software to ensure that they are all operating effectively.
Participation in and/or provision of training (for example part-take in specific IT systems training or lead a training session on MS Teams or other tools).
Create and collate in research and development activities for example undertakes surveys (using MS Forms or other tools) audits, case studies or clinical trials.
Coordinate reviews on policy and service/project development and for the delivery of activity and access targets within the team/directorate.
Requirement to plan and organise and the level of responsibility for example arranging of meetings or diaries; planning phased rollouts; service improvement programmes or projects; staffing rotas; development of strategic plans.
You will be required to communicate using different types of messaging (for example telephone, email, teams, text) and the skills required, for example tact, diplomacy, negotiation.
Reference to judgements they may have to make or the extent to which they formulate solutions, for example diagnosing a problem; analysis of data trends; staffing cover arrangements; prioritisation of appointments.
Use of information resources, for example data entry; typing of documents; taking of formal minutes; creation of data reports, presentations; modification of databases and systems capturing of actions from informal meetings.
