About The Role

Prisons are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work - if you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this is it!

As a Registered Nurse (Adult) you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Sudbury by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care. You could be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. Within this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse (Adult), NMC qualified and will have evidence of continued professional development throughout your clinical career thus far. Having an understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, coupled with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach will enable you to succeed in this role, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving.
How will we support you?

  • Bespoke induction
  • Competency framework
  • Regional and national career development opportunities
  • Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs
  • Support from the wider team

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £36,230 per annum - dependent on experience. We offer a whole host of additional benefits such as: cycle to work scheme, free DBS check, free uniform, an extensive training and development structure for all employees along with an employee recognition scheme.
