We're looking for a Primary Care Nurses to join our team within the healthcare department at HMP Huntercombe on a full-time and part-time basis. This will involve working inside the prison, within healthcare and on the prison wings. Healthcare is provided between 07:45 – 18:30 on weekdays and between 08:30 - 16:30, weekends. The site does not offer 24 hour healthcare and as such there are no night shifts. We are welcoming full and part time applicants to apply for this vacancy. This role will include regular weekend work.

We offer opportunities to develop in to a specialist role of your interest which in turn benefits the service. Examples include ANP, BBV, sexual health, ILS (intermediate life support), health promotion, phlebotomy, vaccinations, suturing, wound care, RCGP, and long term condition courses.
About You
You will be a qualified Registered Adult Nurse with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £38,073 per annum - dependent on experience (pro-rata for part-time hours). HMP Huntercombe is a category C adult male prison for a foreign national population in order to support government priorities on the deportation of foreign national offenders. HMP Huntercombe is situated in Nuffield in Oxfordshire within the North Wessex Downs area of outstanding natural beauty. It's located within 15 minutes of Henley on Thames, 30 minutes of Reading and 35 minutes of High Wycombe.
